The first time you use the Oral B 8500 electric toothbrush, it takes pretty much a whole day to charge if you do not use it. After that, to absolutely charge the battery from flat it takes twenty hours, if you use the brush. But, this gives you one hours charge. My old brush charged in sixteen hours and you only got 30 mins worth of charge.

I should say, that my main reason for purchasing this brush is actually because it includes it’s own storage container, and hardly any toothbrushes out there have this actual feature. I was not too impressed with the tongue cleaner and the interdental cleaner, so I do not use them now. Also, the maker says that you will notice that your teeth will be whiter in twenty-one days, but they do not offer you any gauge to test this. So, on some days I have thought that my teeth have looked whiter, but I do not know whether or not this is wishful thinking on my part. Also, unlike my old brush, this one does not tell you when it is going flat.

It moves at forty thousand times and oscillates 8,800 times per minute. The 1st time you employ it, it does take you by surprise and it’s common for your teeth to bleed the 1st couple of times you employ it. However, I like how clean my teeth feel after I have brushed them and I would not part with this brush for the planet. Though this brush does come with a pressure sensor, unlike my old brush it doesn’t move away from your teeth if you exert too much pressure.

The Oral B Professional Care 8500 brush starts to make a different sound and you then have to move the brush away to stop it pressing against your teeth too hard. I might suggest pressing too hard against your teeth once, so you know what to listen for.
